What We Do
Our main goal is to identify other non-profit organizations that share our values and goals and provide them with financial support to help them meet their objectives.
Currently Supported Charities
Before becoming recognized as an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, we primarily supported Casa Madre Teresa, a house for the elderly in Fogo, Cabo Verde. As described in our mission, CV SEEDS OF HOPE is about helping those in need, and it goes beyond a single organization. As we expand our reach, we have officially begun supporting Santa Clara of Sao Vicente and Irmas Franciscanas of Praia, Santiago. We also provide direct financial support to individuals in need.
How do we identify them
We reach out primarily through social media and this website, but it also does happen through word of mouth. We make ourselves known through organizations such as DSNI (Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative), Caritas, CV Unidos, etc., in the US and abroad.
Volunteering
The volunteering program is an important initiative for our group, as we do not have any employees and depend solely on volunteers interested in making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. At CV SEEDS OF HOPE, volunteering is a source of great pride for our nonprofit Organization.
